We held our wedding reception here and everything was brilliant from the first contact with the organiser to the last help with loading things into our cars at the end of the evening. The staff were fantastic, everyone commented on the fabulous food, and the layout allowed people to join in with the dancing or find a quiet spot. All our requests were catered for and nothing was too much trouble. Superb !!

Can not thank the staff enough was absolutely amazing. We booked for a carvery and was not disappointed, we then had a pudding each. The staff were friendly and welcoming and had a fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.

We booked the pub and function room for a birthday party. The staff were brilliant and couldn't do more to help us and were very friendly throughout. The buffet food was also great with many of our guests commenting how good it was. Looking forward to trying out their carvery and food when it starts up again! Thanks for a great evening 🥳😊

We had a celebration of life at the Red house for 65 people. The whole place was offered to us for our private party, the room used was the perfect size. We also had use of the bar area and additional seating, this was great for people to break off into different areas to chat. We were charged per person for the food but the room/venue was offered for free which I thought was a great deal. The buffet was a reasonably priced, presented well, tasty food and there were good options available. Tea, coffee and water was available for everyone and the bar was open and staffed for drinks. The Staff were helpful and friendly. The car park was big enough to accommodate everyone and the seating area outside was nice for people to sit and chat. There are some steep stairs leading up to the outside area and car park, I’m not sure about accessibility. I think there may be a way in round the front but I didn’t ask or check. We were pleased with the Red house and would recommend it for special occasions. Thankyou for helping us provide a great wake for our loved ones.

We celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary at The Red House last night, Shelly and her team were amazing - nothing was too much trouble and they ensured throughout the evening we were happy and having a good time. Service was quick, food was incredible and replenished until everyone was fed - we opted for the pulled pork which was delicious and served from the carvery trolley so stayed warm. Myself and a few guests have dietary requirements which were catered for brilliantly, well labelled and laid out. Private use of the entire pub was included which gave us space for live music and quieter areas to sit and chat. Highly recommend for a private function.
