Rose Revived

We had a awesome evening in the rose revived. Aimee went out of her way to provide excellent service. Food was okay for the price it's really quite good, we went for picky bits the sharing platter prawns and mushroom starter. But the highlight of the evening was Aimee. Super chat and very attentive.

Wonderful place! Large and beautifully appointed riverside public house with restaurant, rooms and large garden area. Located on the Thames. Room: Our room was very well decorated, spacious and clean with an extremely comfortable bed! Bar/Eating area: Good selection of beers and plenty of comfortable places to sit. Food: Excellent food and service - even when we arrived on a warm Sunday lunch time. There was a high demand on food, especially outside by the river but the staff dealt with it seamlessly. We had the pork Sunday roast and it was excellent. In the morning we had an English breakfast (from a large choice of options) and this was also excellent and included in the price of the room. Staff: Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful - thank you! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening relaxing by the river under the shade of a large willow tree. Highly recommended and we will be back!

The views and decor are stunning, this is a year round delightful place. In the summer outdoors is beautiful and in winter, is cosy and with big windows framing the views beautifully. We requested a quiet table, neurodivergent child, and were given one with good space around us giving us that sense of being connected and out the way which was so helpful. I don’t know if it was conscious, each member of staff stood opposite the delightful child and not near, spoke quietly and calmly, this was great in keeping things comfortable, it was most certainly noted, so thank you! Food and service were excellent. Gluten free options were very impressive with options to adapt meals on request and was told it was a delicious meal. This is one of those places to go and feel all cosy and spoilt.

Visited the pub last night for a meal and service was average, our meals, starters and main course came to us in good time. The food was dreadful, very dry, tasted as tho it had been preheated before, meats were not enjoyable. We will not be returning to this pub for food again.

Fanni was wonderful this evening. Nothing was too much trouble and she was very attentive. The food was lovely, everything came out in a timely fashion and tasted excellent. Meal prize went to our son’s fish goujons from the kids menu - huge portion of lovely freshly cooked fish.

Just had a family Sunday lunch here for 23 of us absolutely amazing! Food was delicious piping hot even though there were so many of us. Staff were lovely too. We will definitely be back . Thank you to everyone at the Rose Revived

Stay at the Rose Revived Hotel for 2 nights whilst on a weekday city break for me and the good lady. This is a beautiful sympathetically restored old farm/stables situated on the banks of the Themes in Newbridge Witney, about 30 mins west of Oxford. On entering the building you are presented with a reception desk with the main bar. As you look through the ground floor you can see the venue is well setup for receiving patrons for breakfast/lunch or dinner. We arrived on the Sunday afternoon after spending the day on Didcot and it was packed with people eating Sunday lunch, very popular. Check-in was quick and given simple directions to the room up just one small flight of stairs. Once,on the second floor you are presented with a well decorated environment carpeted and wood walled panelling. Entering the room I have a word,of warning, due to it being an old building there is a step as you walk into the room which is la larger drop then your average step and the floor is uneven, this may cause issues with anyone who is disabled. Room was clean and decorated well with the usual tea & coffee making facilities. A large double bed blessed with white sheets, pillows and duvet. Large screen TV my only criticism of my stay,the TV required turning as it was missing all the ITV channels which I found a little odd, none the less, all the other channels where available for viewing. A small desk with a chair, the bed was comfortable. The room faced the main road running North to sounds crossing the River but well sound proofed, you could hear traffics with the windows closed. Bathroom was a little pokey but functional, tiled floor to ceiling with a sink toilet and shower, which is a little small but the water is hot. Had dinner both nights we stayed where we had 3 courses with drinks £66 & £67 respectively. Great meals both nights, served and cooked beautifully. Staff well trained in allergies, both my wife and I are Coeliacs, the premises cater well for those with allergens, gluten free with Vegan options available. Decor in the min bar they have left in pace all the original stone flooring flag with the rest of the building with the wood floorings. Area in the restaurant over looking to river with an outside seating area. Staff all very pleasant, courteous, polite and respectful. Overall I would highly recommend a stay, as above, my only criticism in the floor in the room. Very comfortable, within 30 mins communities of Oxford, Didcot and Bicester. 5G signal, I had 2/3 bars however Free WIFI available on site.

Lovely meal to celebrate our first anniversary. We were served by Kat and she was warm and friendly; even giving us an extra cookie when one was missing from my wife's dessert. Lovely food and atmosphere. Beautiful location. Can't comment on rooms as we only went for a meal
