Great find. Lovely little local, cheap food and drinks, welcoming, helpful, great with kids. Atmosphere was my cuppa tea . Kids enjoyed food. Fed a family of 4 with drinks for £50! Bargain.

Had pork chops and beautiful mash. Very good for £9.95. Photo below after I had started eating it.

Went for a Sunday Lunch and food was top notch, would highly reccomend.

We went for a meal here as a family while on holiday. Food was lovely and well priced. Staff are friendly. Was nice having low background music so that you could talk without having to shout.

We have eaten here twice now and all staff and fellow customers were friendly and welcoming. I had a mixed grill on my first visit and my mum had a steak baguette. A big plate of quality meat and my mum was impressed with her baguette. Went again for my mum's birthday and had amazing steaks and my dad having pork chops. Very generous servings and we all had empty plates at the end. Only negative was the bottle of prosecco. Would have been nice to be in an ice bucket but that's just me being picky.

Unbelievable portions at a great price,you can't see it in the photos ,but the gammon steak goes all the way under the egg.The baguettes were filled to the max,really,really good.

Went during Thursday afternoon it was quiet not been in pub for over 30yrs not changed much but clean well maintained food was good a few families came in and were welcomed not a lot for kids but it is a pub

Found it by accident as a place to eat. Food is pub grub. Excellently cooked to order. Surf and turf served with peas and salad and way too many chips! Next time I swapped chips for mash and gravy with my steak my steak was over cooked and it was swapped immediately for a perfectly cooked even bigger steak! No problems. Hubby had Cajun chicken and salad peas and chips. Again cooked fresh and beautiful. The pub itself is a bit dated and drab. It is what it is, a local drinking hole. There is a small restaurant area to eat at the back but you can eat anywhere in the pub and it's dog friendly too! Staff are friendly and courteous. Approachable too! I like this place a lot. Couldn't rate it 5 stars because of it needing a revamp that is all. Prices are very good. Under £7 per meal!
