We had a fantastic family lunch in the Chiverton Arms. We had 2 meals from the varied specials board & 2 from the extensive regular menu & all 4 of our meals were freshly prepared a superb & plentiful. We could definitely recommend the slow cooked ribs, liver & bacon & sausage meals. The staff were friendly & efficient and we would all highly recommend ( plenty of parking) .

Came here for a family meal whilst on holiday in Cornwall — absolutely delicious! A lot of great options for starters and mains, I had Camembert bites and the beef lasagna which were both superb. Others with me really enjoyed their meals too including one of the specials pie of the day (steak and ale), scampi and chips, pork ribs. Very filling and good portion sizes, overall I’d definitely recommend 😊

We came here before a couple years ago for my daughter's first holiday. We have come here again this year and it is a lovely, low beamed country pub. It's quaint, it's cozy. The restaurant looks beautiful. We had the Homemade Hunters Chicken which was absolutely delicious. A Sirloin steak cooked to perfection and a little Chicken Nuggets, chips and beans. My 3 year old even got her own little child set knife and fork. The prices were good, the portion sizes were generous. Cannot fault this lovely place and will certainly be back in the future.

Weather poor so decided to go for a pub lunch at The Chiverton Arms. Had been here previously and not been disappointed. The Trio of Sausages was delicious. The owners were really pleasant. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area. Well done.

So I ended up caravanning (alone this time) for 5 days at Trevarth Campsite (also excellent) 200m down the road, so the 'Chiv' was just up the road. On day one, I decided to go for a pint and really did find a very warm, local pub, with some very kind and hospitable locals (Ritchie/Gordon et al!). There is a really good choice of ale and beers (I opted for Wingman which was kept really well), and although I didn't eat this time, the food I saw prepared for the busy tables each night I popped up looked very tasty (and big portion sizes). Wez and Sophie who own and run the pub are superb, convivial and welcoming hosts - it this was my local - I'd use it a lot! 10/10!

Went here for Sunday lunch and luckily they managed to fit us in. The food was good and the portions (of veg in particular) generous. Although the food wasn't as hot as you would expect it was still good and excellent value. Dog friendly too.

Visited here while camping. Such a welcoming place. The food was fantastic, big portions and lots on offer. Very much enjoyed and we wish it was our local!😃

Came here for a family meal whilst we were all on holiday. Service was decent, everyone was really friendly, but the food was pretty shocking. Chilli con carne was so bland and the rice tasted like it was one of those microwave pouches. The desserts weren't much better, lemon meringue tasted like it was a frozen one, the lemon filling was grainy. The brownie was burnt around the edges to the point you couldn't stab your fork in it. It was a real shame as it is a really nice warm friendly pub.
