Great little place, recommended by a friend. Good food at a good price. It's nice to find a little gem like this. Nice friendly staff and locals too. Will definitely be returning.

Not sure I would have visited this place, let alone eaten here if it wasn't for the good reviews it has. It looks a bit run down from the outside and kinda gives the impression of a dying pub with a couple of old regulars propping up the bar, and the pub. Looks can be deceiving! OK, on the inside it is a tad like your old grannies house, but it's 'homely'. The welcome is warm, the bar has all you need and the food is excellent. I had steak pudding, clearly homemade and delicious. My wife had a roast dinner, she's a bit of a connoisseur and thoroughly enjoyed it. Piping hot, fresh and tasty. Service was super efficient and smiley. A very pleasurable experience and one we'll repeat hopefully. Not sure about other days but I'd recommend booking if you want to visit on a Sunday, and if you want a tasty, homemade and hearty meal you really should.

Call to the Glen view inn last week on a whim as we were hungry, and as it has been recommended, we thought we would give it a try. And we were not disappointed we both had starters and main courses and the food was excellent and the vegetables were cooked to perfection not soggy like in some other establishments we have had the displeasure to come across you won't find this here the portions were genuinely generous the lady who served us was very pleasant and looked after us well we will definitely be returning thank you for a lovely meal keep us the great standard.

Love this place and it never disappoints. Mixed grill looked good but my son only let me try the black pudding. The chicken and King prawns in garlic was just as I remember it. Chicken not dry, kudos to the chef. Met a lovely local chap who is due to receive a Doberman puppy so good luck as I'd two. Would recommend. Limited parking but I'm sure you could find a spot nearby.
