We hired the Angel Restaurant out on Friday night for a private function Murder Mystery Party and it was honestly one of the best nights we have had. 14 guests attended and this was a perfect place to hold this event. The atmosphere was spot on, with the fire lit and the perfect size for all the activities planned for. The food was brilliant with a pre order system for the BEST burgers, chips and sides that was cooked and served beautifully. All of the staff were equally loving it, so friendly and just went above and beyond to make the evening as smooth as possible. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ten Stars if I could. Thank you so much to Dan and his team!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We went for a meal here last night having had other plans cancelled last minute. They have just put together a new menu with much more reasonable prices than previously, and we both enjoyed our food very much. My wife had the duck with plum jus which was cooked very well, and I had the falafel burger which was deliciously crispy. So much better than the limp oven heated falafel you get in most places. Chips chunky and fluffy. Delicious! If you live locally, give it a go. We have been waiting for somewhere in Purton to serve decent food for a while since the Indian redtaurant shut its doors for eating in, so we will definitely be back to try again. Also, as a vegetarian I was informed that more options will be forthcoming which I look forward to.

The best pie & mash we’ve ever had. I had lamb & mint and my husband had Venison. The meat was really lean and no fat which my husband loves. Champ mash with cabbage included 😋 we will 100% be back. The waitresses were lovely & polite.

The Angel is a great pub in the centre of the village! Staff are super friendly and welcoming and always a good day when the pub dogs are in! Perfect place to drop in for a drink and some food after a walk around the village with the dogs. Rock n roll bingo and the pub quiz are always a good bit of fun and a good laugh to go with friends every month. Also offer gluten free Peroni which is great for my dad who is Coeliac.
