Came up from London with some friends for the weekend visiting family and stumbled across this pub. Fantastic music, great service and met some of the nicest people I've met in a pub. There were many pubs on the same road but this was the best by far. Highly recommend a visit and can't wait to go back next time we are north of the wall!!

The pub has benefited from re decoration since our last visit. The beer was spot on. Clear and crisp, served with a smile.

Landlord couldn’t run a bath never mind a bar, they play awful music and it is way too loud, I had to shout all night just to speak to my girlfriend who was sat next to me, the place is a mess and so are the staff, they have no respect for anyone and the staff were out of line fighting 18 year olds over nothing, the 18 year olds were left with bruises and bleeding noses after trying to enjoy their first night out, the bar staff try and harass young girls even when they have been told that they are in a relationship and are not interested in anything but their boyfriends, the place is a utter mess and the worst pub I have ever been to. Would not recommend this place one bit, find somewhere else to go there are plenty of other good pubs nearby.

Really good pub lots of friendly people and very friendly staff. I'd recommend anyone popping in here and having a few pints. When I pass through hazel grove again I'll be stopping myself for a cheeky gin or 3. Maybe I'll stay off the karaoke next time though as I'm not as good as I think I am when I'm drunk .
