A nice pub interior with flagstone floor and real fire. I had chicken and bacon ciabatta which was very good. Good sized car park and camping at the rear. The only downside is that the range of drinks is pretty mediocre. Would be good to see some modern beers and local artisan ciders. Plenty of good local breweries and cider makers in the area

Great service and nice selection of food, on Wednesday it's a roast although the vegetable are a bit under cooked but that won't hurt anyone, l opted for the Steak and Ale Pie, really nice and tasty and plenty of meat. The server was rushed off of his feet but never seem to bother him in fact in he thrived on it. Nice pub and plenty of parking and dog friendly too

Finally, after passing many times, made a lunch visit. Wednesday carvery time, had a pint of Thatchers Stan - Chedder Valley cider and an excellent carvery, one gluten free. The lady behind the bar was very helpful as my wife and I both have to use walking sticks. Great pub, will visit again. Excellent cooking, vegetables still tasted like they are meant to and brocoli still slightly crunchy! Decent bar with English ale and cider, no craft 'grapefruit juice', so called, beers. Great visit, all served promptly.

We used the overnight facility here with a campervan. £15 for the night with electric hook up. Quiet spot and the power was good for us to run a small heater all night. Had dinner and a chilled of drink at the pub. It was Saturday night in January so we didn't have any issues getting a table but I think that might be different in the summer. Great atmosphere at the bar with lots of really friendly locals.

A really lovely tasty Sunday carvery and a great value for money. Friendly staff and locals. A good down to earth village pub. Plenty of parking. Highly recommended.

Sunday Carvery, food was bland. Vegetables over cooked, meat was dry. Gravy had very little flavour. Salt on tables damp, service could be improved. Coming to the table to ask for drinks etc would be a big improvement. Paying and ordering by the door entering the area for the carvery is poorly thought out. Over all it was disappointing, I won’t be returning.

Visited here for a birthday party, food was nice, big portions, bit of an issue getting to the bar as all the locals sit right at the bar and don’t move so hard to order a drink. Ordered a brandy and coke drink was disgusting as coke had just ran out so it was filled with some vile flavoured liquid, if the people weren’t all perched at the bar would of asked to have it changed, in future maybe don’t serve people the dregs.

The local patrons were very welcoming to strangers which encouraged me to visit the pub again. They say that the Sunday Buffet is the Mecca of Carvery food. My next trip will prioritize this experience.
