We have just returned from an amazing one night stay with friends at this centrally situated inn with a free visitor car park which is a real positive. We were warmly welcomed by the staff members on shift, shown to our room and given some fresh milk in a flask. Our room was very comfortable with a large bed and a window overlooking the main street of the town. The bar and restaurant area was cosy and the outside space was well decorated too. We enjoyed drinks in the evening and a hearty breakfast the next morning. Would definitely revisit this gem of a place!!

Came here today, a very busy Saturday lunchtime, to a packed out pub. That in itself speaks volumes. However one of the staff went to great trouble in finding an inside table for four. The food ...starters and mains were all excellent as was the attention of the staff. My three friends were over from Australia and we had a wonderful lunch and time to catch up over the meal. Good food, great staff and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

We have stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the location, being in the town centre and the advantage of their own off street car park. We were looked after well at check-in by Wayne. He was working again at our 1st breakfast, and he shared the pubs' best ghost stories when we asked. Drea was working on our 2nd breakfast service and made time to chat with us at checkout. She is running a superb pub with rooms and we won't hesitate to stay there again next time we visit Skipton.

My wife and I had lunch and it was good. The food was all fresh and there was plenty great value for money. My wife had a beef sandwich and I had a salad. Both dishes were good. My salad was one of the best I have had. A great selection of cask beers of which I sampled a few, as it would have been rude not to. All were very good, too good really 😀. The staff are friendly and helpfull. Would I return and recommend. Definitley. If you like my honest review please follow me, as I review on a regular basis.

Enjoyed an overnight stay here a few weeks ago. Had a lovely room overlooking the street. Our double room was very comfortable, clean and had a well supplied tea tray. A bottle of milk was supplied at check in as well.|We also ate breakfast and dinner in the dining room. All the food was well prepared and presented. Individual breakfast requests were not a problem. Servers were very pleasant as were all staff. Our friends who brought us were also impressed and would stay again. |Visiting from 🇨🇦

A bunch of us dropped in for drinks on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. The bar is comfortable and the staff were friendly polite and dog-loving! Our dogs were made a fuss of with lots of snacks! The beers and drinks were refreshing and tasty & the toilets are clean.

Didn’t stay but used the restaurant Service and staff were great but the food was just average. I had rolled lamb which was lamb breast incredibly cheap and fatty. My wife had the blade of beef the sauce was nice but the beef was dry and stringy. Not impressed and not worth the money we paid.

This is truly a lovely hotel and pub. I have stayed here previously and would definitely again. There is great ambience as soon as you enter, even on a wet day. The staff are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There are a great selection of beers available, particularly Timothy Taylor's including a Landlord dark beer I had never previously seen. On arrival you are given a flask containing fresh milk for your room. As resident you also get a free half pint of Timothy Taylors.|My room was a double, quite small as its an old inn but well decorated and clean. The bath towels were gorgeous, large and thick. The Inn is in a very central location for shops, restaurants and the canal.
