Really friendly welcome! Arrived in the area and tried a couple of places en route, all busy or closed. On the off chance rang ahead and they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Table booked with ease, food was served quickly and was delicious, with good sized portions. All of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Told we were very welcome to park overnight in the campervan and woke to a babbling brook in the morning. Highly recommended.

Wonderful lamb Henry. Lovely Butcombe beer travelled well from Bristol. Stayed in the village and visited this friendly village pub several times. We ate there twice both times the food was superb. Portion sizes are very good, too. Would be my local if we lived in Embsay.
