Been here for the first time after the pub had been refurbished, driven by several times and was waiting for the opportunity for it to be back up and running! The food here is lovely! the Fish and chips are probably the best i’ve had in a long time. Next i want to try there Roasts on a Sunday! Only one small critique please add more flavour gins to menu though! Grapefruit was a bit too much for myself!

Food was delicious and good portions. Staff were friendly and efficient, the decor was fresh and modern but in keeping with the history of the building. If I was to find 1 fault, the table was quite sticky, not sure if it was from being dirty or the lacquer on the wood needed sorting out. However overall a delightful Sunday lunch.

We've visited the pub a couple of times since it's refurbishment and new management, and it looks great. Staff are friendly and service was good. On our second visit we had lunch and it was very good, two of us had fish & chips and I had fish pie. The portion sizes were perfect, not too big, and the food was great value for money.

We had the best Sunday roast we have had out for a very long time! I am very fussy for those that know me will agree 😂 So for me to say it’s excellent it is. Crispy roast potatoes, fluffy inside the lightest airy Yorkshire pudding, fresh perfectly cooked veg too. Thank you we will be back ☺️

We were keen to visit the Iron Duke since it’s reopening and it didn’t disappoint. Service was excellent, friendly and welcoming. Food is reasonably priced and vert tasty although the menu is a bit limited. Our only criticism is that the lighting is a bit bright so it doesn’t feel as warm and cozy as it could do. Would thoroughly recommend though, we’ll definitely be back!

Very friendly atmosphere and lovely surroundings, our table was a little close to others that made it difficult to sit down on arrival. Had to move the table a little to get sat down. Service was a little erratic but really friendly, happy workforce. Food was lovely and thoroughly enjoyed. Well definitely be back .. lovely pub.
