The Litton

Location, food was great! The burger was without doubt one of the best I have had, so recommend! Locally sourced food & it tasted great! The Venison was on the specials menu & very good! Service was a little delayed, however it was fully booked on a Saturday lunch time, so book in advance. Nice location & car park with a decent amount of spaces. It would be nice to visit in the summer for the outdoor areas & views.

We came today for Sunday lunch for the first time and it was so good, especially the cauliflower cheese! Our server was so friendly and attentive (dark hair, nose piercing, I'm sorry I didn't get her name!), as were all the rest of the staff. And best sticky toffee puddings we've ever had!

This is a bit of a hidden gem. A short drive from Wells and Glastonbury. There are also nice footpaths around the village of Litton and the reservoir. There was a slight hiccup with the room choice but we were given a free upgrade to compensate. We had the luxury room with the roll top bath. The room was immaculately maintained. We had requested one that didn’t overlook the car park and was a bit further from the bar but there was no noise after about 11. A recommendation would be to add blinds and keep the curtains closed during the day before guests arrive. Luckily for us it wasn’t too hot when we stayed. Bathroom nice and spacious, bed comfy. Plenty of tea and coffee. I loved the restaurant food. So great to have pie with chunks of meat and the veg was just the right side of crispy. We also had drinks in the outside areas. And the staff were all incredibly attentive and helpful.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary and were very impressed. The service was exceptional, thanks so the staff we felt well looked after, they went out of their way to make recommendations and fit us in with a table for dinner when we hadn’t booked. The room was really comfortable with a fantastic bathroom. Overall great quality and the best service we’ve had in years, better than 5 stars! We will be back.

We popped in here as a pitstop on the way to our holiday destination and did not regret it. The atmosphere was fantastic with really friendly staff and superb options for food. We were really pleased they allowed dogs, as it meant we could all enjoy the meal together.

Beautiful boutique country hotel. We stayed here on a sunny Sunday, taking up the option of a delightful Sunday roast after check inn. The Litton walk showcased some of the immediate areas natural beauty, providing a healthy dose of fresh air after the aforementioned roast dinner. Our room was spotless and liked the fact it retained some of the original features of the buildings former use. Breakfast was fabulous and the service throughout our stay was excellent.

We had a special birthday meal and overnight stay at The Litton for my Mum's 70 Birthday and it was fantastic. From the moment we booked it, all contact with the hotel was amazing and they were so helpful. I can't fault The team they were so attentive and looked after all 21 of us so well, we felt very special. The rooms were gorgeous and the food was lovely. I would 100% recommend. Our children also had the best time exploring their beautiful gardens and enjoying the countryside. A truly perfect place in a perfect setting. Thanks especially to Ollie and George for looking after us all so well, bit all of the staff were amazing. We will be back.

Have not been here for years. Decided to go for lunch. The setting and staff were all 5* they have obviously spent a lot of money on this pub but the food let it down. The prices perfectly average. The pie, meat and gravy not very tasty and broccoli spears not cooked. Boiled pototo's were nice. I had chicken wrap which was OK, the coleslaw was nice but it was a warm day and it had not been chilled, nothing worse than warm slaw. Chips were nice. I don't think l will return it was disappointing. Serving staff excellent.
