Have had Sunday lunch and evening dinner here. Both very good. The evening dinner we had fish and chips, a pasta dish, tagine and duck everything was enjoyed. Love the ales too - Oakham citra never misses and is well kept. Sticky toffee pudding is also well worth a go.

We wanted to find a place to stay just outside Cambridge and I found this pub via google. It was perfect for what we needed - a nice, cosy and warm room, helpful and friendly staff, and delicious food in the pub. Ideally situated for getting a bus into Cambridge itself and everyone was so helpful and friendly when we asked about bus stops etc. We were disappointed by the cost of going into Kings College Chapel which was very high.

Travelled for work. Room was great with parking right outside the room which was ideal. Ate at the restaurant which was lovely. Plenty of other options for food and drink nearby. Would definitely recommend.

Called in on a wet evening for a quick evening meal with my dog. Staff were most accommodating allowing me to eat in the bar with the dog but not in the restaurant, understandable. I chose just a burger and chips although the menu was much more extensive. The food arrived hot and quickly. Chips were good and plenty full, salad was not to fussy as I like it. Burger was a good thick piece of meat but was a bit lacking in flavour. Bar was quiet approx 15 customers. I would eat there again if I was in the area.

Had a fantastic meal here tonight. We Happened to book a table at this place at short notice when in Cambridge dropping our daughter off. What an excellent choice purely by chance! The food was amazing and so well done. The restaurant is cozy and the staff were absolutely brilliant. Lovely decor throughout and price was excellent value for money. Can't recommend it enough. If you are ever in the area then you should try it out, you will not be disappointed!

Just popped in on a Sunday and what a great place. Excellent food and superb service. I would add that I do not agree with a service charge (12.5%) being added. I will decide if the service is worth rewarding, not you. Yes, it’s discretionary but this tactic puts some customers into an embarrassing situation where it’s easier to pay rather than speak up and you exploit this awkward situation to your advantage. As it happens, and as I said the service was superb and I would have happily tipped at least 20%. Your reviews are great, reconsider applying the service charge.

Competitive Pub Trying to write reviews for the Cambridge pubs therefore entered this restaurant. The menu is relatively limited compared to Milton Arms and Lion&Lamb nearby, but still competitive. The lamb rump was in Indian style, very soft and tender that melted into your mouth. With a nice salad. But the rice was slightly dry and stuck together, probably slightly stuck into the bottom of the cooker? The burger was really nice. It had both quality and quantity. Large and juicy burger. Not oily. The chips were hot and tasted very good, in generous quantity. The restaurant is rustic but clean. The toilets are clean and roomy. The staff was nice and helpful. He offered help even we didn't request. Overall it's a competitive business in Cambridge.
