Sunday lunch. Earned our lunch by cycling from Melton, lovely quiet roads. Food was fab, as always. 4 carveries and 2 cauliflower pies - for which the pastry was divine. We were all too full for pudding but the amazing team let us have 2 giant cookies to go and gave us instructions for warming them up. Unique wall paper. Well worth a visit

Stayed at a campsite near to this pub, we were recommended this pub and it did not disappoint, friendly welcoming staff, great beer and proper pub food, at a reasonable price, also got a nice outdoor area next to a stream. Would definitely visit again.

What a lovely place! We played here at the Whissendine feast week last week. Very friendly and welcoming crowd. The pub is delightful and you can tell Yolanda and Chris put a lot of love into the place - you could see the hard work and attention to detail that goes into the service they provide. Food was great and the room was comfy and clean. I'd go again if in the area, worth a visit. Quaint and traditional but not old fashioned 😊

Magic pub with rooms and great food. Friendly staff and pub used by locals plus a landlord that performs magic card tricks etc entertaining guests. A great enjoyable experience with lots of fun and quality food wine and beer.

Lovely pub ,we had both lunch and dinner here , food was excellent. The staff were great, very friendly.Theres a lovely garden with kids play area, the garden sits along side the stream. We didn't stay here but I'm sure from our experience it's a great place to stay .
