This pub is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a genuinely friendly and warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff are attentive, cheerful, and clearly take pride in offering excellent service without being overbearing. The food is truly exceptional—beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, and it easily rivals food you’d expect from far more expensive establishments. What really sets this pub apart is the outstanding value for money. The prices are refreshingly affordable, especially considering the high standard of both the food and the service. It’s rare to find a place that delivers such quality without stretching your wallet. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual meal, a relaxed drink, or a special get-together, this pub consistently delivers a fantastic experience. Highly recommended and definitely worth returning to again.

Such a wonderful pub and amazing service. Food was delicious and would recommend to all. They go above and beyond we were a very large group but food was served to perfection I had the 3 course menu but I actually took my pudding home as I was much too full.nothing was too much, it was packaged up without any fuss and very much appreciated. Thanks again

Very very unprofessional and food is definitely not worth the price paid! Had a wake here today and after a discussion with a bar lady about quality of service (more for her being on her own with soo many customers at that time) she then made a very insensitive comment to grieving family member who had to enlighten her he was in fact family member not a stranger! and her comments were not necessary! following this the manager stormed her way through the crowd in front of everyone and aggressively "warned" him without knowing what had happened! And then proceeded to try and argue with him, find this very unprofessional and very insensitive, we have owned many pubs in our family and never would any manager or worker have dealt with this situation in this way! Also as a wake to walk in and not have any tables reserved for the family resulting in them standing up or going outside is not thoughtful at all, will not recommend!

Great food. Had a lovely lunch from the set menu. Very reasonably priced and main and desert were spot on. Had a latte and a soft drink as well, all nice. Don't know about alcohol prices but well worth a visit for lunch. Just a short update. Unfortunately the current management team are having to give up this pub in August 2025 due to new government budget pressures and family illness. Such a shame. Hope they can get somewhere else soon and, if not, wish them all the best for the future
