I normally like to give 5 stars but several things have knocked a few stars off. I was part of a group of 4 and we arrived about 18:45. The car park was full and there weren't any spaces on green lane east. We ended up parking on the side of salhouse road. The bar was busy but there were plenty of staff and we were served quite quickly. I bought 2 pints, 1 wine and a lime and soda for £22.20. Later in the evening I bought 2 pints, 1 wine and a g&t from a different pub for £22.90. So the drinks prices at the sole & heel seem more expensive. While I was at the bar a lady asked if the music could be turned down a bit. We were given 1 menu between 4 of us. We had to go to the bar and order our food. We ordered for both couples separately but immediately after each other with the same girl. I was overcharged by £3 but didn't realise until later. The meze were £4.50 each or 4 for £15. I was charged £18. The first couples food arrived and they waited politely for ours so we could eat together. We told them to get started and they had nearly finished when our food was brought to the table. One of the meze choices was incorrect so it was taken away and replaced. As you can see from the photos mine came in a box, I don't know why? It did say so on the menu that it would be. My food was ok although I have had better Greek food. The music was still a bit loud and I wonder if we would have had a nicer experience sitting outside?

Can't fault it. Amazing pub, service and incredible food. We ordered the Sole sharer box to try a bit of everything and it was excellent value and very tasty. Will definitely be back soon for a drink, food to watch sport and to try a roast!

Pub has now reopened after extensive refurbishment. New outside decked area (although this has reduced the size of the car park quite a bit). Still dog friendly. A couple of real ales. Toilets very clean and modern. Food coming at a later date. Some comfy arm chairs inside.

A pub trying to be something it is not! A brave attempt at Greek food but completely lacking in any authenticity despite the faint sound of Greek music in the background . Not enough choice on the menu and brought the wrong food ( not as ordered ) . Need more experienced staff although the kids employed did their best but appeared not to have been fully trained. A shame because the idea is good but much improvement is required.

First visit for Greek Sunday Lunch, food was lovely & staff very attentive, so 5 Stars for these points. The venue lost a Star for lack of offering Coffee, oh dear Marcus! A bad decision for a catering venue, given Coffee is plentiful at your venue up the road! Hope you remedy this lack of offering.
