Popped in Monday evening and was met with a warm welcome by Jack who took our food order and served me my dad and adult son. Great British pub . The food was exactly how it should be and served hot as it was freshly cooked . The service was great and friendly !! We will be back

Nice little Sunday lunch pub. Nothing to extravagant but decent enough food. Accommodated our pushchair and reserved a table for 8 nice big garden to play in and good selection of beers.

Really nice lunch and afternoon. We were a large party of 15 for my birthday and the food and service were excellent. We stayed on to let the children play in the large beer garden with activity area.

Been there. Hardly any service. Had to ask to have some sauces brought to the table and the minimum necessary ( forks, knifes). Despite the place being low on customers still was very slow. 1h waiting for the food that was mainly frozen food easy to prep. Asked for an ice cream, came in 25 minutes. Following the lunch at the pub I had some terrible indigestion after having gammon steak that was raw on some parts . Won't come here again

Popped in with the children, we all enjoyed our meal. Atmosphere was cosy with the fire place on and staff were lovely. Will definitely pop by again.

Very nice food for the kids and the grown ups the service was normal like any pub and their wasn't alot people at the time we went making It calm and nice

We had a Sunday Roast Dinner and waited an hour. Only the turkey was good. Small cubed potatoes for roast potatoes probably frozen vegetables undercooked, Yorkshire puddings okay, but poor dinner considering the wait.

Came to the Blackbirds for a family meal to celebrate my 18th birthday! The staff were amazing, accommodating such a large group (there was 17 of us), despite the pub being quite crowded, especially the garden due to the lovely weather. We was told there would be a 45 minute wait on food, which was completely understandable, and while we waited for our food we stayed topped up with our drinks, with such a wide range of options I found myself getting a different drink off the menu each time I went up to the bar. All of which were amazing, especially the selection of cocktails. When the first load of food came out, we had a few of the small plates and shaders for starters and everyone enjoyed everything. I shared the Ultimate Sharer with 2 others, and it was definitely worth the wait. It was essentially just pub picky bits which is perfect as a sharing platter. There was a small wait between the starters and the mains, which is again understandable because the pub had gotten considersbly busier since we had first arrived. But when it did come, everyone was delighted. With generous portion sizes at affordable prices, I had the Katsu Chicken Curry which I unfortunately wasn’t able to finish, especially since I wanted to save room for desserts. Some of the other dishes that my party had, were the Salt and Pepper Chili Chicken, the Scampi and Chips, the Cheese and Bacon Burger and more… We asked for some time between finishing our mains and getting dessert because of how full up we all were. So, after getting some fresh air and letting the younger kids run riot on the play ground in the back garden, we finally had our desserts. I had the White Chocolate and Raspberry Blondie, and as someone who isn’t a fan of chocolate but was convinced to try something new, it was definitely worth the try. It was the perfect blend of sponge, chocolate and dried raspberries, decorated with raspberry coulis and pink sherbet. I am really grateful to the staff and the atmosphere for making my 18th so perfect. I have since been back to the pub and enjoyed some of their other dishes, all of which were better than the last.
