The Shed

Nicely appointed and roomy “Shed”. Nicely appointed, quiet, and comfortable. Host was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

From the first message to confirm the booking right up until the final message wishing me a safe journey, albeit for a last minute overnight stay (booked about 22.30hrs), i felt nothing but welcome. The accommodation was clean, tidy and welcoming, simple but effective decoration with a theme of fun within the pictures on the wall. The view from the garden with the rooftops, the morning mist and sun in the back ground ga e a sense of being somewhere else such as bavaria or austri. The welcome pack was informative,even though i was just staying a night and had no intentions of visiting the local area, it definitely gave me the sense of wanting to come back just to visit these places.

Fantastic little place, only stayed for 1 night as we used it to get to bike park Wales. Definitely will stay here longer next time. The room is converted from garage but super cosy, functional and warm !

What an absolute gem of a place. It's in the front "garden" area of a house on the hill coming out of the Heolgerrig suburb of Merthyr Tydfil which overlooks the town from a mountainside. When I got near my satnav misdirected me and I turned into a little private driveway that led to a few houses behind the venue. There a friendly neighbour, Howard, gave me directions and we chatted for a while about the area. The usual Welsh welcome I'm proud to say. After getting to the right address I was met by Lynne, the very friendly owner who showed me round. It's a decent sized cabin building with two sets of bunks in one corner and a sofa that opens out into a double bed so it sleeps 6 but I believe there was a fold up bed under one of the bunks so you may be able to squeeze in 7 but best check first! There's a TV on the wall with a Sky TV box and Firestick plus a drawer full of DVDs. The bathroom is a decent size and the electric shower is easy to use and excellent. The kitchen area comes with supplies for breakfast, plenty of tea and coffee and milk to go with it. It literally has has everything you need as I discovered when I looked through the other drawers having discovered the DVD stash. Hence I have added all the pictures I took to underline the point I was able to park my motorbike on the decking area by the front door which gave me piece of mind. It looks like there may be a garden area that you can access from the side door but I didn't venture out. All in all one of the best places I have stayed in. To top it off, as I got ready to leave, Howard the neighbour drove past and gave me a wave :) :)

Great place to stay if heading to the Brecon beacons. Host was very helpful, and 'the shed' is very well appointed, bed was super comfy, its clean, tidy and an all round nice place to stay! Will visit again if in the area.

one night stay while travelling for business - Cosy clean and excellent location for visiting the Bannau Brycheiniog with only 20 minutes to car park at the bottom of Pen-y-Fan. Looking forward to return in the spring with my son for some walking 🙏🏽

I would like to recommend this place. We were there with the whole family. Excitable owners, delicious breakfasts, clean. Beautiful views from around The Shed.||Certainly, at the earliest opportunity, we will visit these sites again and book a flat. Thank you very much for hosting.
