Assembly House

Very good looking pub, super spacious, lots of wood and seats. Welcomed change from crowded spaces in London and it's next to station. I was extremally hungry so can't review food in a way I usually do. It was serviceable, chips were good and curry sauce was ok, could have been more thicker but fish was mostly batter, very thick layer of it. Crunchy, sure, but I'd rather have more fish. Nice brown colour thou and well presented on the plate. Also our group has been waiting quite long for food to be served, although it was big order. Good service overall but they don't serve Guinness Zero. I don't know what it is about London, but it's really hard to get those days. I don't drink alcohol and would like to have more options. Our group is planning to visit again in few months, would try food again.

Moved from Kentish Town in 2009 and was a regular at the assembly house. Came today (23rd Oct) as I'm off to a gig at the forum later (Tennis... If you care). It's had a lick of paint but is still a great pub. Good music (not too loud), great staff, the food looks great and when my partner turns up we are definitely ordering. Perfectly poured pint of guiness too. Won't leave it so long till my next visit.

Great pub with great food. Service could have been a bit better. Food delivery was very disjointed with items from the small plates offer arriving at different times, no cutlery or condiments provided without asking for them but overall a good visit. Will be back

Large pub, clean and tidy. I arrived just after they opened and was pleased that the ale was in good condition. Some pubs are a bit slack with the first pint, but not so here. I had the grilled halloumi in flat bread, with chips and salad. It was quite filling, and very tasty!

If pubs were football teams, The Assembly House would be Arsenal. Screens everywhere. Honestly, I counted more TVs than I have friends. Whether you’re watching football, rugby, or just pretending to understand cricket…. Stumbled into by accident and thinking I’d catch the first half — stayed for the full 90 minutes, extra time, and … all thanks to the amazing food and variety of beers and ciders.

I work near the pub and often come here to unwind after a shift. Everyone working here is great but Beth goes the extra mile, she is so nice and always smiling, she really puts you in a good mood. My 5 stars go all to her

Great pub on the corner of a busy high street. It's spacious and has lots of options for seating. The service was good, and it was the perfect place to catch up with an old friend. We had some great food. I had a beyond meat burger which was lush.

Went here last night (Thursday) before going to a gig nearby. We had the katsu burger and fish and chips. The katsu burger was tasty and had a nice flavour to it. Nice to see different things on a menu too. The sweet chilli sauce was a hit. The fish and chips was ok. I’ve had better in pubs. The batter was average and the fish a little chewy making me think it wasn’t hot enough. But was edible and I didn’t flag it to staff. Highly recommend the blood orange lemonade. Great atmosphere here for friends, dates, colleagues. Just has a brilliant decor and light. Would go again.
