Great little find. As the only pub in the area there's not much pressure to deliver but the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, the food is great and well presented and plenty of choice at the bar. Proper country pub 🍻.

We took a risk and booked a table a week before, as we were coming on holiday. It didn't disappoint. It's a lovely pub, the staff were friendly and the Sunday carvery was beautiful with a nice choice of veg. Would definitely recommend

Without a doubt the worst meal I’ve ever had. I had the sausage and mash. The broccoli seem to have been boiled for hours, it was softer than the mash. The sausages were rock hard, dry and I can’t believe someone would actually serve them and think they were acceptable! The only thing that sort of okay was the mash and peas. The beer too was rubbish, The Amstel had no bubbles. It’s the first time in my life I walked out without finishing the beer or food. Disgusting! It really was a terrible meal for £21. Total rip off.

Went here with my family on the way back from Eden. It is a great place, friendly staff, great service. The seating area well small is very nice and for all the place I could see very clean. There is even a proper wood fueled fire place, that gives it the feel of a quite warm, welcoming place. Which it definitely is. The food, was amazing, very nicely sized meals all fresh. Some excellent cooking here. In terms of price for 4 mains and 3 desserts along with drinks it cost around 70 pounds and for the service and taste of the food it was well worth it. I would definitely come back here for dinner if I was passing through again and suggest friends who do pass this way to try it out.

What can I say, it was lovely. Booked for 10 of us to have the Xmas menu. Great communication from the off. Table was decorated, but I added a bit extra. Food was lovely. Service was friendly. Will be going back.

Went for an evening meal, I had the cod and chips which was really nice, Mrs had the bacon cheese burger which she said was alright. Service was faultless, very friendly and helpful. Clearly a local pub, lots of families and kids which is nice, but a bit too loud for our liking and kids running behind your table is a bit annoying. Overall decent meal, great service but not ideal atmosphere.
