By far the worst pub I've ever been in, entirely because of the staff. Nasty, aggressive, unfriendly and incompetent. We bought our drinks at the bar. The barman put ice in my whisky even though I had told him I wanted it straight with nothing in it. Then the barmaid shouted at us to get away from the bar. It was mid-afternoon and very quiet in the pub, no-one else was waiting to order so why was she so nasty? She said "We don't do standing at the bar here". It was our first time in the pub so we didn't know that. Seems a bit weird but even if it's true you don't shout at customers and order them around. I noticed there was a large group of customers standing at the bar on the far side, but she didn't say anything to them! We left quickly and won't be back.

Very good, not to loud for a Weatherspoons. We ordered the sweet potatoes curry, which I loved. And my husband had the steak & Ale pudding which he said was good value for money and the portion size was good, but not stupidly huge.

Found the hotel was very clean. All the staff was very friendly very handy for Kings Lynn town Centre and the best part with it you’ve got a Wetherspoons underneath you.it is close to the car pack which is next door and cost £3-50 for 24 hours check out simple with a box for your card key in foyer would definitely recommend this hotel will definitely return

A great hotel, in an ideal location. Wetherspoon type meals, perfect if you’re on a budget! Parking can be tricky, there’s a cheap all day parking lot near by, but it fills up quickly. Obliging staff. Highly recommended for a short term break!

Stayed here for one night whist passing through King's Lynn, and we were really pleased with both the service and the room. I unfortunately had to use a walking stick at this time, and after a very friendly greeting the receptionist told me she was changing our room to one nearer the lift. The room was a good size, with tea/coffee facilities, bottled water, biscuits and a fan. The bathroom was spotless, excellent water pressure, soap and large soft towels. We didn't use the Weatherspoons attached so can't comment on that, but if you take the mug from your room to the bar you apparently get free tea or coffee. We would recommend this hotel for its location and rooms, and will stay again.

Absolutely shocking.|On check in, my sister-in-law was asked for ID. She didn’t have this, as she just passed her driving test. Reception said it was FINE.|We went downstairs for some food. Got our drinks & meals no problem. My sister-in-law took a SIP of my brothers drink, and were watched on camera by Jobs-worth staff. They stormed over to us and told us: “finish your food and leave”. We obviously argued this, due to the sudden and RUDE approach. We were then told we were “abusive” and had to leave. This was at 4 in the afternoon!|Staff will no doubt reply to reinforce their narrative, my advice? Get a different job, one where you don’t have to deal with customers/people as you have no skills in that department at all whatsoever. Never ever dealt with people so rude and entitled in my life. Ruined our family night.||Don’t waste your time. Go to an independent pub, Lynn is full of colourful nightlife with friendly staff.

Wouldn’t even rate a 1 star. Staff take any issues extremely personally with profound ignorance, and take it upon themselves to glare and whisper about your personal matters like primary school gossip, even days after occurrence!! As far as I am aware their job description is to serve and please customers like the employees they are, not step way out of line and behave like gossipy teenagers when any issues arises, whether that be food, drink or service. They act as if you aren’t paying good money to be there. Everyone knows Wetherspoons is not somewhere you go for ‘top quality’ but human decency should be standard. Either taking jobs way too seriously by taking personal offence to any issue or couldn’t care less and don’t want any customers at all This all happened at 3pm in the afternoon with a barely busy restaurant so no excuse that they were under pressure, god knows what it’s like at peak times!? Genuine family wanting a simple meal and a few drinks for a long awaited get together, treated like mob protestors and looked at like filthy pigs by staff. From reading other reviews you can 1000% see that we are not the only ones who experienced this. Sort your attitudes out and try to act at least a bit happy that you’re getting payed to be there!!
