The George did the buffet for my FIL funeral, and today we stopped in with MIL after visiting the grave for Sunday lunch, very impressed, excellent food, HUGE portions, hubby had beef that was lean and perfectly cooked, we had lamb that was very nice! Highly recommended for food and because staff are so friendly and happy! 12/10! Only gutted we did not have room for a pudding after lunch!

We stopped off in the area for a walk which was lovely. We each had a Veggie burger which was slightly disappointing. It mostly consisted of potato, peas and carrots which is maybe a bit dated for veggie burgers now. Not a lot of other choice for us on the menu. Also dogs only allowed in a small section of the bar which had the TV in and was the busiest part of the pub so we sat outside. Luckily the weather was nice that day.

Had a lovely meal here. Came early, so I had a drink first. There's a fabulous menu with lots of options, especially for vegetarians. The staff are very friendly and the pub feels very homely. The meals are delicious and a really good size, especially for the price. There's covered outside areas, one having a t.v in it. Definitely recommend a visit here!

Good selection of beers and a good place to drink. We had a meal here recently and we were not entirely happy with it. The seafood lanquini was gloopy and the sparse seafood was well overcooked . Other mains were good. The meringue mess we ordered for dessert was awful, just cream and strawberry syrup, no fresh strawberries or meringue, so it got sent back. Overall we thought the food to be overpriced.

Fried Chicken Wraps were grim, coffee was undrinkable. Waitress seemed perfectly happy to slop my coffee on the table with half of it in the saucer, along with the sugar and biscuit. I went to move my plate only to discover it was stuck to the table, mmmm classy. On top of all that they had the check to dd a12.5% service charge to the bill. So in conclusion if you are looking for a grubby sports pub this place is for you.
