Popped into the pub here, conveniently located a short walk from the bus station. I was poured a perfect pint and had a few laughs with the friendly staff. This is a traditional British pub with a great atmosphere - the perfect place to people watch or to wait out the rain. It will definitely be part of my next trip to Hexham!

A lovely overnight stay here on a very hot sunny day. Informative with regards to parking arrangement and a great welcome. Our room had a fan and an air conditioning unit greatly appreciated. Situated on the main street so some traffic noise but nothing too noisy at nigh time. The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed well appointed and decorated. Breakfast was excellent at their sister hotel opposite and had an early start at 07.30 which we appreciated. Hexham is a very clean historical town with lots of shops bars and restaurants and everyone we met was very friendly. Just disappointed we didn't get to stay longer

Lovely warm welcome to the hotel, nice little bit of history about the building aswell. Rooms were in really good condition, very clean. Had a brilliant breakfast that was served across the road at their sister hotel. Little bit of street noise, inderstandable when you are above a pub on the main high street. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for a work trip and couldn't be happier! Upon arrival I was told my room had been upgraded free of charge and I was to be staying in the suite. The staff that greeted me where incredibly friendly. I was given a great bit of local history about hexham when I was given my room keys. The room it's self was lovely , very tidy a nice queen bed. It's been absaloutley roasting and the AC unit was a life saver. The hotel is in an ideal spot with nearby shops and restaurants. Great seating area and a lovely vibe to the place! If only they served food in house they'd have had five stars . The staff were helpful accomodating and polite. Couldn't fault the room or the hotel the beer was well kept the bar was busy lively. Very happy with the whole experience. Food served at the County across the road for breakfast was ok.

Whilst out celebrating my daughters 30th birthday late afternoon we called to have drink in the beer garden. I found the bar manager/bar man very rude and his hospitality skills were a little to be desired. If you can't be bothered to serve someone don't be in the pub industry!!
