Had a lovely meal here at 4.30 on a Saturday afternoon. Beautifully cooked burger for me and chicken, ham and leek pie for my wife. The pie came with a very generous portion of fresh, seasonal veg and mash. A delicious, rich sticky, toffee pudding for dessert, finished off a fantastic meal. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Had a great laugh with one of the servers. PS We enjoyed yesterday's meal so much we came back the following day! A warm welcome and a laugh with the staff, especially Evie, and another beautifully cooked, generously portioned meal. I had to have the burger again. My wife had the roast pork belly, faultless, apparently!

Absolutely beautiful traditional old pub! The Landlord is very lovely and so accomadating, we were early but even tho the pub was very busy he managed to give us a lovely table much before our booking. The food was fantastic, we had fish and chips and it was very very good, and a hearty portion. Can't fault the waiting staff either, attentive and polite but don't bother you whilst your eating. I would highly recommend a visit, its a gem of a pub! ❤️

Fantastic pub! Loads of seating in the driveway, homemade food with seasonal English vegetables! Couldn’t recommend more. Staff are friendly, helpful and happy.

Brilliant night. Stopped in the camper and had dinner (pie and chips) which was delish! Staff were brilliant, friendly and answered any questions I had. Would highly recommend

Best roast dinner I have found within 20 mins drive from southampton. Perfectly cooked veg and gravy 💯 home made yorkies too. I’d go back every day if I could. My only gripe was slow service, but the waiting staff were very lovely 🥰

A lovely old building with a huge garden. We chose to eat inside for late midweek lunch as it was so hot outside. We had fairly prompt service and a huge meal. I was a little surprised to have very well toasted bread with my ploughman's. I'll make sure to ask for untoasted next time as I didn't feel it went with the ploughman's. If we hadn't been in a rush we would have loved to have lingered longer. Will definitely go again when we're in the area.

Was staying locally. And asked for recommendation. And was told the green dragon. And yes we're not disappointed. On entry was a warm welcome. Service was excellent, even though the pub was busy. Friendly staff. And food was excellent. Would highly recommend if you are in the area

Such a Good place. Glad we reserved a table in advance, dinner was amazing, even child portion of roasted beef look like adult. And they had my favorite vine - Malbec Tilia! Thank you!
