We had lunch there today, unfortunately there was just two of us in the pub. We received very warm welcome from Alison the landlady and Penny the chef. Nothing to much trouble extremely friendly and chatty. I had homemade chicken and veg pie, creamy mash and fresh veg and gravy. My friend had sausages and mash. Both absolutely delicious and filling credit to Penny the chef. Highly recommend going there we both want to try the Sunday roasts at some point. I really hope the new owners are here to stay as they own another two more pubs and made a success of them.

Food is good, friendly staff. But bot worth going til at least 2pm. If you walk in on a cold day you expect the pub to be warm whilst enjoying a pint. It's Freezing. Heating needs to go on earlier and get fire going prior to pub opening. My suggestion only, alot of punters complaining.

We had a meal there tonight. Thought it was great food a reasonably priced. Some of the old favourites are back on the menu. Cooked really well. Penny the Chef came out to welcome us and ask us about the options we would like with the meal. All i can say is you have a brilliant chef who has a passion for her job. Hang onto her a don't let her go! Jess behind the bar was very friendly too. Definately coming back soon. Also want to say that its nice to see you have changed the pub name back to what it was. In my opinion some things just don't need changing, that being one of them.

We popped in to this pub because we heard it was back serving food again as we are currently on holiday in the area. Nothing was too much trouble especially as there were special dietary needs. The food was amazing. We had service with care, smiles and politeness. The experience was so good we went back again in the same week to find the same experience as before. Thank you to all the staff and best wishes for the future

Stopped for a drink here. A lovely local village pub, with a nice feeling and gorgeous outside space. Really nice coming here for a late night drink. Relaxing did not want to leave. Did not have food so could not rate it but will be back soon.

Enjoyed a delicious, reasonably priced Sunday roast. Service was excellent, really friendly pub obviously popular with locals. I'm tempted to move locally! Highly recommended

Popped in on the off chance after a trip to the beach. We had the dog as well and they saved us a table in the bar. I am a bit of a food critic and normally very critical but the roast Lamb was delicious. Perfectly cooked and lovely veg and roast potatoes. Lovely cosy pub, staff were very friendly as well.
