Room was excellent, food was brilliant (both dinner and breakfast). Took a point off as you can hear the road noise first thing but it's not too bad. The service, pub, food and staff more than make up for it. Good value for the quality of rooms and food, etc. Will definitely stay/visit again.

Another fantastic evening with gorgeous food and personal and warm service from.everyone who served us. It was busy with diners for a Thursday evening. We will definately visit again. Bear in mind the pirtions are large. The panzanella salad starter was beautiful.

Four of us visited for lunch today. The menu is varied and diverse I'm a positive way and includes regular pub favourites and imaginative diversions. The lamb rump curry was judged to be excellent by the two who ordered it. The pork rib dish was also beautifully presented and tasty. The fish and chips were fresh and crispy. We shared the special dessert and a ginger and Guinness sponge. Service was excellent 👌 do give this place a try. It will not disappoint.

Wonderful stay at this lovely place. If you want a lovely stay or meal in a rural village a few minutes drive from A1 this is ideal and it’s pet friendly. The accommodation was clean warm and cosy and the staff very friendly warm and polite throughout. There is a lovely restaurant and decent menu and the food is good quality and well cooked while the pub has a nice selection of drinks. As we stayed over the breakfast was lovely and was cooked beautifully. We will definitely visit again either to stay over or have a meal. Thanks again to the staff who made the stay so delightful.

I have been a patron of the Woodhouse Arms for many years and have used many of there facilities including the guest rooms and restaurant on a regular basis. I can not recommend this establishment highly enough, they have made my family and I feel welcome on every visit and I intend to continue frequenting for as long as they'll have us. A special mention regarding the staff. Many staff members have been working there for years and continue to provide excellent service, in no particular order and not looking to exclude anyone Georgie, Gemma, Nikki and Jacob have been superb. Tom is also there.

Popped in for something to eat on a long drive home from Burghley Horse Trials back up to Yorkshire. Hasn’t booked a table but they made room for us. Absolutely delicious food, good prices and lovely atmosphere. Actually sad I’m not a local as I’d be back in a heartbeat!

We attended a private birthday party and the hotel was very welcoming, accommodation first class, excellent breakfast and would recommend the Woodhouse Arms to anyone. We had a very pleasant stay.

First visit for food had a great chicken supreme with potato and spring onion cake and chorizo. The fruit salad was a surprise so many fruits with clotted cream. I would recommend you try it.
