Excellent lunch at the Greg! Burger was juicy and flavorful, and the Caesar salad was delightful as well. Chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. It has a nice patio too if you want to dine outside. Looks like it has quiz night and other various fun activities there, too! Great location if visiting the manor or town.

Local pub mischief, February 2025 First visit under the new management and after reading the previous reviews I was looking forward to trying the food. I visited the pub with my friends, the table was booked for 4 of us, all ready when we arrived. It was weekday, only 2 tables with other guests. I ordered 8oz rump steak, medium rare; my friends ordered burgers. We have been waiting ages for the meal. And then I was asked if my steak can come in two 4oz pieces. No problem but I asked for rare and medium rare. Unfortunately both steaks were done. What a disappointment! On the contrary the burger was really nice, fries were excellent, same as dessert (sort of berry pavlova). Despite the staff was nice and friendly, we were waiting ages for meal, not during the busy evening at all. Also, the pub is described as great British pub with transatlantic twist, with alternative American appeal. I think I missed that part tasting the food. Shame really. The pub is located on the main road, very busy one. Only a few tables outside but it won't be quiet due to traffic nearby.The car park is spacious and easy to access. The pub has been renovated and refurbished but I wouldn't say it's cosy, it's correct, like the meals served there - just correct, with no charm or twist...

Great location opposite Harlaxton Manor and a good menu but disappointing service. We had booked a table in advance as it was the bank holiday weekend. After being seated for 15 mins I had to flag someone down to ask if we could order drinks, food etc, even though the waiter kept passing & could see we were ready to order. We then waited 1hr for our food to arrive which was disappointing to say the least especially as the order was 4 lots of sandwiches with salad and chips. The indifference of the staff was quite shocking. If they'd said 'sorry you've been waiting a while' then we'd have been more forgiving but no. A real shame as it wasn't even full.

Date of visit 10th June 2025. We had been looking forward to going back to The Gregory as we had been before (albeit a while ago, but we don't live in the area) and it was really good, however I think it must of changed hands, I rang to book a table, need not have done so, we were the only two eating, my husband loves belly pork but it was just a bowl of floppy fat and the main course was not much better, the gentleman behind the bar was great and had a sense of humour (which he needed). Unfortunately I would not recommend and we will not be returning which is sad as it is a lovely place.

Had birthday meal, service outstanding meal was amazing from presentation to taste we all had 3 courses plus drinks young grandson didn't quite get through his taste buds not quite refined for the decadence of flavour but he tried everything he was served definitely with come again

Just had Sunday lunch here and it was very good. Great portion sizes, well cooked and well presented. Service was top notch. Friendly and polite which runs in nicely with the theme they seem to be going for. Nailed it guys. We will be back to try the normal menu soon

Review on restaurant food: Honestly not a pleasure trip. I'm quite sad to only give this place 2 stars because I had extremely high expectations since it is now owned by the Manor. I started off with the pork belly burnt ends. The words 'burnt ends' to me would mean the fat is crispy and a bit burnt. This was not the case- in fact all I got was pork fat, so I was eating chewy pork fat which isn't nice at all, as 90% of people would agree. Then the burger and chips, the burger was alright, nothing special. The chips however, grim. They were tasteless, it seems they hadn't been seasoned at all and we're just completely disappointing. The onion rings were bland too. For nearly £18 I expected a top quality burger, some banging chips and 2 onion rings that would blow my taste buds away, boy was I wrong. The service was also immensely slow too but it was busy so I can't really moan too much about that. Overall, would I recommend this or come again....Sadly not.
