Fantastic village pub with all the ingredients for a memorable visit. Great atmosphere of locals happily mixing with visitors. Wide beer selection and with also a great value tasty food offering. Excellent thatched community pub that is the heart of the village. Easy to park opposite or nearby. The outside terrace bustles in the early evening. The beer is excellent with a good choice straight from the keg. The food is very good and reasonably priced, though the menu is limited for those looking for fine dining. The village is trying to keep itself together as the church next door is also the local shop after losing the post office. The four thatched cottages opposite are shrouded after a terrible fire. The National Trust has a two-year plan to bring the cottages back. Well done to the fire brigade for keeping the pub safe!

We have known this pub all our lives. It is great to see it back in its former glory after some years either shut or badly run Truely rustic, friendly,with great food and beer and wine in the lovely village of Drewsteignton. Lovely just sitting in the village Square after along and hilly bike ride from Exeter.

After the long tenure of Mabel Mudge, the grand dame of this wonderful village pub, the community now are caretakers and know what a decent pub should be. Serving Otter and Exeter ales and Devon ciders, decent lunches and evening meals, the people helping and serving locally couldn't be better. They also offer clean bunkhouse so you can rest your head. Local church also offers little shop wares and eggs. Worth a visit and can be accessed by bus.

We stopped for some food and drinks after spending the afternoon at Castle Drogo. We did a little homework before we came, to find out that the pub is locally owned after nearly being shut down. The food was really nice, all ciders and beers are from the local area. A definite for a visit whether passing through or to stay. A little hidden gem.

Had a Sunday roast here sat outside in the sun next to the church which was so lovely. Roast was amazing, all the trimmings, properly roasted veg and good selection of beers / ciders. Staff super nice too, such a cute pub would love to come again.

An outstanding community pub which serves the best Fish and Chips I had for a long time. The local pale ale is outstanding as well. We love the familiar senior dog friendly atmosphere.
