Whilst my partner, our dog, and I were on a short holiday, we booked here for dinner—and we’re so glad we did. The location is perfect, set within a wonderfully quirky and historic building full of character. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made a real fuss of our pooch, which she absolutely loved. The food was outstanding. We both chose pie for our main course—a true hearty British classic—and finished with sticky toffee pudding for dessert, which was the best I’ve ever had. We would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you, Tom

Amazing old-world pub with little rooms, high back settles, warm fires and an even warmer welcome from staff. My wife and a couple of friends visited on a Saturday lunchtime, and each had one of their scrumptious pies. Best pub pies in a long time, all washed down with a couple of pints of Butty Bach draft ale. Find your way to Bretforton and you will not be disappointed.

Charming old pub...plenty of character, must be great atmosphere when there's a folk group playing. Perfect for a birthday lunch... excellent range of beer and cider on tap... it has been said before, but order one of their pies, and you won't be disappointed 😉

Lovely olde-worlde pub. We booked for a Sunday lunch which didn’t disappoint. The three courses were great including a main veggie option and the service was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in for a late Thursday afternoon lunch which we had pre-booked. It was busy compared to other pubs on a Thursday so would strongly recommend booking. Sat by the fire which was great as it was quite cold. Dogs welcomed apart from when they are not under control and jump all over you! Very friendly service from the people behind the bar and the lady taking the food orders. The beef and ale pie was excellent especially on such a cold day. Will go back

The best pub, what an atmosphere! The food was absolutely delightful, 2 lovely fires and the staff were absolutely outstanding! They were so nice, we were a last minute walk in and they managed to not only squeeze us in but also give us a better table without asking! We stayed overnight in the master's bedroom and it was such a quirky place to sleep. Tea and coffee provided and the breakfast the next day was heavenly! They have folk music shows in the barn, but be sure to book in advance as it was sold out when we got there (on a Wednesday!)

We visited this charming historic property, managed by the National Trust, for Sunday lunch and were glad we had reserved in advance, as it was clearly a popular spot. The building itself was full of character, with a maze of cosy rooms that added to the atmosphere. Our dining space was quite compact, with only a few tables, and the slightly uneven floor gave it a unique charm. Despite the busy setting, the staff provided attentive and efficient service. The meal was satisfying, with a good selection of well-prepared meats and vegetables. There was also a solid range of drinks at reasonable prices. It was a thoroughly enjoyable visit, and we’d happily return if we’re in the area again.
