A friend just moved into the area so we wanted to find out how good the food is here and we were not disappointed. Lovely service, great food and apparently a good pint as well although I don't drink myself. Worth going out of your way for!

We visited here whilst away on holiday. We reviewed the menu online but were disappointed when we arrived because a lot of the items on the menu online were not on offer on the day. They had no rice, so no curry options were available, there was no macaroni and cheese, the lasagna had been crossed off the menu and the chicken wings and been crossed out and replaced with chicken strips. The menus offered to us were crumpled-up pieces of paper with sections crossed out in pen. This was not appealing when you first sat down to eat. We did consider leaving due to the largely restricted menu and very poor presentation of the menus, however, as we had already ordered drinks so we decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and stayed. The food finally ordered was adequate, it was hot and tasted okay, but the portions were very large and by the time we had finished our starters, we were rather full. They would probably be better off serving slightly smaller starters and saving the money on the amount of food served to buy the rice and pasta needed to be able to serve a full menu and then print menus that were appealing to look at when ordering. The staff in the restaurant were very nice, but very young so they lacked experience in customer service. The failings of this pub appear to be down to a lack of management on site paying attention to the dinner details that will make customers want to return again.

Not a lot to complain about here. Stopped overnight in our motorhome on our way to Cornwall (Parked nearby) and came to the closest pub. But very friendly welcome from the staff and there were plenty of locals drinking here as well who were alos friendly - always a good sign. One retrieved our dog from the car park for us ! Food was very good pub food with decent sized portions. Only one ale on offer (Timothy Taylor) but good selection of lager and cider. Very dog friendly. Good sized garden and l am guessing this could be very busy on summer weekends. A very good local pub which we will no doubt visit on further trips.

Today we visited the Vinny and had a great experience! The food was exactly what you’d hope for in a proper pub—hearty, flavourful, and clearly made with care. I had the baked Camembert , friends had the burger and fish and chips and it was spot on. Portions were generous and everything was served piping hot and presented well … all very delicious and recommended ! What sets this place apart was the garden. It’s spacious , well-kept, and perfect for a relaxed afternoon or evening out. Whether you're grabbing a quiet pint or having a full meal outdoors, the garden area adds a lovely touch. Plenty of seating, children’s play area shaded spots, and a peaceful vibe—not something you find everywhere.

Really nice late lunch, yummy food, nice atmosphere and company. Service could have been better the girl was trying so hard on her own (fair play to her!) I'll certainly be back.

Wasn't waiting for drinks or anything as the waitress was very prompt and happy to help with anything. Will definitely be visiting again soon. 5* all round

We were looking for somewhere to stop for dinner on our way to Cornwall and found The Blue Vinny online. We were welcomed when we arrived and the service was quick and friendly. The food was really good - I had the veggie shepherds pie and it was really delicious and the veg was cooked perfectly. Seemed like a lovely local pub - would definitely return.
