The service, atmosphere and place was beautiful. We were however disappointed in the food the steak was prepared well but for £23.50 you couldn’t actually taste the steak all you can taste is the charcoal even if you tried scrapping it off the taste was there it was bitter,/burnt taste and then it’s an extra £2 for sauce I would have thought the £23.50 would come either with the sauce anyways so for me it was overpriced for how the steak came so bitter/burnt. The Chimichurri Sauce wasn’t fresh , it was dark brown n salty it just didn’t look like it at all even the taste, it’s meant to be green refreshing and vibrant, what I got wasn’t appealing ,but I was so hungry I just put the sauce all over to hopefully get rid of the burnt/bitter taste from the steak but it didn’t.

Had a great family meal at the brew house in Dorchester. It's rare we get the chance to go out, so we always have high hopes when we do and the Brewhouse team were on point. The service we received from Ruby and Sophie was fantastic. Their happiness and smiles rubbed off on us all. The menu had enough variety to suit our fussy teenagers and the cosy environment helped with the relaxed vibe. (We have a special needs son that demands constant care, so the chance to chill out a bit and let someone else feed the rest of the gang is much appreciated). The burgers were scrummy, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the bill was very fair considering. Will definitely visit again when we get the chance 👍🏻

Had a mixed experience here, the beer produced on site was delicious, the service was fine until I said the chicken was burnt in my dish. She said she will speak to the chef. Did not come back until we had finished. Only to say that it is grilled like that. I said there is a difference between grilled and burnt. In the end they did not charge me for my meal. I would go again for the beer and chips

Good food, high prices, and poor service. My friends and I booked a table here for 19:30 on Saturday. We were seen to quickly, and sat down at a table. A waitress came over to us after a couple minutes, asking if we would like to order via the qr code, or in-person so we said we would through the qr code. She then took our drinks order and brought us our drinks in due course. She was very nice and all was well. We then tried ordering our food through the qr code, got all our orders into one shopping cart on one mobile device, so as to simplify things. When I tried selecting my table number it couldn't find it, so I went up to the bar to discuss this with a colleague. She then told us to use the number of a table next to us, and that worked. After getting all of that sorted, sat down again, went to pay, and the website told me it was suspecting fraudulent activities. I went up to the bar again but this time they just took the order on the till. This entire process took over 30 minutes from when we arrived. Our food came about twenty minutes later. It was quite nice albeit a bit too dear to make it feel like the cost justified the food quality. It then took a long time for them to clear the table, so we went up to the till to pay in person. They had the audacity to charge me a 10% service charge, without letting me know it'd be there, and without the service to warrant it. It was a £72 pub meal for 4 people as is. I understand it was a Saturday night, but the service was horrible, the food mediocre at best, and the prices too extortionate to leave me satisfied with the experience we had.

We’ve been to brewhouse a few times now after recently moving to Dorchester and we’ve absolutely loved it. It has a brilliant and sociable atmosphere - perfect for after work drinks/drinks & dinner with friends and family. We had a currywurst off the spring fest special menu and the toffee and honeycomb cheesecake and it was delicious. Also loved the passionfruit martini and beer selection! The staff were very accommodating and we didn’t have to wait long for service, even when it was particularly busy, which really impressed us. What made our experience even better was that there was blue light discount available and we were able to bring our dog with us (there were water bowls available along with dog treats - a lovely touch). Overall we’ve had fantastic experiences here and will definitely be visiting regularly going forward (we’re particularly looking forward to the upcoming live music and quiz nights!)

Paid just under £60 and the meals were small and one had to be sent back because it was cold, so my wife eat when we had finished ours and the extras came out just as we were finishing our food. I had a burger and it was cooked to a crisp and cold as there was more relish than burger and the relishes felt like they had just come from the fridge. The burger patties were the smallest I had seen, they were the size and thickness of a digestive biscuit and this is no exaduration. Overall a very unsatisfactory meal that left us hungry and cost just over £70 with the three meals and three drinks. Won’t ever be going back.

Decided to use our “buy a gift meal for two” voucher here after looking at lots of other places we could have used it. We actually felt quite disappointed with our evening. We turned up to quite a noisy bar area, so loud I could barely hear the staff behind the bar asking about our table reservation. We then got shown to our table in quite an empty area of the restaurant, to be sat right next to another couple so closely, that I had to ask to move our table over as we couldn’t both get into the chairs. The waitress offered to get us water and walked off. I wasn’t sure if we ordered off the main menu or if there was a separate one due to the voucher. The waitress returned and explained it was certain meals off a different menu which was fine. She then walked off again. Upon her return, she took our drinks orders and said she’d give us a minute to choose our food even though we were ready to order. Our drinks came quite quickly, and our orders were taken (dessert at the same time) but the tray our drinks had been brought over on was left on the table along with the menu….. The food came out rather quickly, which was fine, but I had to move the tray and menu out the way for the plates to be placed down…thinking they would take it away afterwards but they didn’t, just walked off. So we had to place it on the radiator/windowsill to be able to eat our food. The food looked good and tasted nice. Unfortunately, what we didn’t like was that my partner’s plate was taken away as he had finished before me, and for some reason they’d decided that this meant we must be ready for dessert. I was still eating the last few mouthfuls of my main when suddenly the dessert arrived, and was put down on the table by the member of staff before I had even finished. Again, he then just walked off. We felt this was rude, and I was then sat with my plate on the table in the way, whilst trying to eat my dessert. I felt rushed to have it quite quickly after having my main, as the dessert was warm, so needed eating before they went cold (churros). As soon as dessert was finished, the waitress appeared again with the card machine in her hand, asked if we planned to have anymore drinks (bear in mind I still had half a pint of Pepsi at this point) and when my partner replied no, she proceeded to explain the food was covered by the voucher, we needed to pay for our drinks and produced the bill. My partner made a comment saying “I don’t remember asking for the bill” but we are not sure if it was ignored or the waitress didn’t hear (due to the noise volume/music). We felt rushed and the whole experience was around an hour, from sitting down to the moment we got up and left - not what 2 parents want when they have a child free evening! We felt rushed and almost an inconvenience, even though no one else in the area that we were sat in was eating at the time and only 4 other tables were sat at. Unfortunately it has put us off coming back and next time we would choose to go somewhere we felt more welcome and not so rushed.
