Wow! What an amazing little find and right on our doorstep. We stayed the night, because who doesn't need a change of scenery in January, and it did not disappoint!. Room upgrade, dogs welcome and food absolutely amazing!

We stopped by for a birthday meal on a Saturday evening in May and had a wonderful time. The lady behind the counter was really helpful, suggesting menu items and brought us a couple of blankets when we decided to sit outside and catch what remained of the sun. The burger and chicken pie were both excellent and we were so comfortable we stuck around to play some of boardgames they had available - really recommend a visit if you're in the area. Thanks to the team for their hospitality!

Always a warm welcome from Nick and his team.|The pub is dog friendly, child friendly and has very friendly locals. Each time we stay we meet more couples who can be bothered to make us welcome.|We stay quite often and always eat here. The food is excellent.|We have stayed in a variety of rooms, all lovely and comfortable and clean. We especially like the cafetiere with ground coffee , it's a nice touch.

A lovely village pub in a great location. Our room was quite small (described as cosy) but very comfortable. Super dinner with wonderful range on menu. Very good and prompt service. Short but interesting wine list. Great range of malt whiskies too. Nice continental breakfast. Overall great value for money and we were delighted to introduce another couple to the place we had so enjoyed visiting before.
