This place is absolutely lovely and very welcoming. It’s dog-friendly and truly good for all ages, which makes it perfect for families and anyone visiting with pets. We were so happy to see that they even have dog ice cream, which was a really nice touch. They have everything you could ask for, with both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can enjoy your visit in any weather. The atmosphere is relaxed, the place is clean and well organised, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s definitely a great spot to visit whether you’re stopping by for a quick drink or spending a longer time there

I visit this pub on a regular basis and came away with a pretty positive impression overall. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for—warm, relaxed, and welcoming without feeling forced. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend a few hours catching up with friends or just unwinding after a long day. The staff were friendly and attentive, striking a good balance between being helpful and not overbearing. Service was quick, even when it got a bit busier, which is always a plus. Keira, Reese and Ellie always have a positive attitude, work hard, kind and always go the extra mile.

The Fair Maid is a decent local. Good beer, decent atmosphere, and staff who clearly take their work seriously. Special mention has to go to the lady behind the bar (I can’t remember if her name was Willow or Alisha), whose commitment to customer service is nothing short of inspirational, especially for somebody the height of a Gringotts bank employee. Now, I don’t know exactly what height requirements were listed in the job description, but I can tell you that the pint glasses on that rack above the bar present what must be a daily physical challenge for somebody this short. Does this stop Alisha? Absolutely not. She approaches each glass retrieval with the determination and grit of Alex Honnold free-soloing the Taipei 101 skyscrape, and honestly, the determination and comedy factor alone is worth the price of a pint. I’ve seen people give up on less. Full marks for the beer, full marks for the banter, and full marks for Alisha’s refusal to let basic physic limitations get in the way of a decent Birra Morretti (not as good as Nathan’s pouring but I imagine reaching the pump without a stool can’t be easy). Would recommend. Will return. Will laugh as I watch the rack situation unfold everytime I order a beer.

Popped in for a bite to eat and a pint, service was ok, ordered my food and a pint of Guinness, the pint I was served had a big head, so I asked if it could be topped up, which he did, it was a total mess when it brought to my table, and it was the same individual that done the very same thing when I was there just before Christmas.Do the staff know how to pull a pint? Twice now I was served this slop so clearly not

Theresa was a really nice waitress and was right on top of keeping the restaurant spotless. My wife and I checked the salt and pepper pots, spotless. Menus and all tables were very clean. The food was very nice, hot, and arrived pretty quickly. This is bar far their companies best pub. Of note, it was run by older people and not teens. They have a jukebox and things going on all the time. We will absolutely return as it was one of the best pubs we've eaten in for a long time. Well done and highly recommended. Oh, lots of parking space and outside seating.

Went with my Mum on Tuesday for lunch and we both had the gammon skillets (again!) which were just as enjoyable as the last time (very!) and great value! Ellie was pleasant and attentive, taking our order quickly, and making sure we had everything we needed when serving our food ; and Chris makes a very friendly and genial host, ensuring everything runs smoothly, but always making time for a conversation with his clients!

This is now our favourite place to eat out. Staff are very accommodating to our special needs child and always smiling. There is a wide variety of meals to choose on the menu and I cannot wait to try most of them. Food was very tasty and hot and we didn't have to wait long at all. The only negative is that my children now nag to go there all the time!

We was late to the reservation however it was no worry, they was plenty of tables left and we was seated as soon as we entered the building, where we was advised a better suited area to sit in which we took. The food arrived very quickly, within 10 minutes of ordering all food came (one persons food came in about 3 minutes!) The meal was delicious and cooked to perfection, all guests had 5 star well rounded reviews. To top it off, one of guests has been trying to find members of the public with a lighter, with no luck we went to a member of staff, she went over and beyond to find one to satisfy our guests when she was not required to do so. Amazing service, amazing food and amazing speed.
