helloooo! i’ve come here a few times over the years and i’ve enjoyed myself on every visit. really nice food and cocktails, i often get my food quite plain and it always comes out perfect. i had a mocktail today which i didn’t know they offered! always a chill vibe in here and it never gets too horrifically busy/loud, even for an evening. ample parking in the area, and a quick walk to other places such as the wetherspoon, garage and hotel across the street. staff are always so friendly and helpful also. food sometimes may take a little while to come out but it’s never an issue 😁

My first visit to this pub. The stand out is the service because it is friendly and attentive. Plus, with a smile and a feeling of genuine care. The disappointment was the toilets because they looked like they needed a fair amount of repair and were more indicative of a nightclub than a restaurant. The food was tasty. Just small. I expected the quesadilla to be a big thicker and with more meat. Not reflective of the description on the menu.

Regular(ish) user of the Chequered Flag, family meal tonight and the service was awesome! Our waitress, Isobel, was superb. Yes she followed the company standards and was on point with everything. We had a minor query, which she resolved politely and efficiently, friendly and upbeat throughout our time there and on leaving she thanked us energetically for coming in tonight. She was genuine and an asset to the Hungry Horse chain and the Chequered Flag. Fantastic! The food was fab and great value for money as always. Keep up the great work Isobel 👏👏

My friend and I took advantage of the two meals for £12.49 deal, and it was well worth the money. The menu was varied, the food was delicious, and there was plenty of it too. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was good. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a pleasant lunch.

Went there on Thursday with 2 friends, this was my 2nd visit. Both times I've visited the food has been great and all staff have been very friendly and helpful. The young lady that served us on this visit was lovely, quick to check if all was OK and to clear the table for us. I will be visiting again. Thanks.

Just poor - dry gammon and chicken breast on the mixed grill. No one ever checked on us. Understand it is a limited service, but no service at all? waited just over 1.5 hours for 2 starter and 2 mains and left as we would not spend 2 hours when there were only 4 other tables at the time. Not a good experience.

Bobbie and Emma were extremely helpful and professional. Our food was delicious and very filling! Highly recommend trying this Hungry Horse out! We'll be back!
