Nice beer garden. Well located if you want a drink while you wait for your train, but otherwise quite out of the way. Friendly bar staff. Apparently there was no ice for the white wine spritzers we ordered, not quite the same without ice and not expected.

We stayed for one night as a stop off. Room was small but quirky decor and a very comfortable bed was more than acceptable. Big bathroom and bath with shower but could only get the shower to work not the bath taps. Not to be put off we filled the bath from the shower which was fine. Breakfast had plenty of choice and set us up for the day. The owners were both friendly and helpful.

Had a wonderful family meal here tonight, they squeezed us in even though they were busy and short staffed. They could not be more helpful or friendly and the food was great too! Very dog friendly… Highly recommend!

Up for a rugby festival at the rugby club next door and couldn't fault it. Wonderful hosts who made us so welcome. Great freshly cooked breakfasts and after a day playing rugby such comfortable beds. It was so good we have already booked our return

Really friendly staff. When kitchen was closed due to an earlier power cut the bar staff allowed us to eat our Indian takeaway and relax for the evening before returning to our campervan. Second time we have been here always friendly service.

Had a short stay for the easter Friday & Saturday (2 Nights). The room was clean, newlely decorated and felt really cosy. The place we were informed was under new management and in such a short time you could see and appreciate the effort they have made. Breakfast was continental full english if desired, cooked fresh and really nice with a beautiful jug of fresh coffee. There was no expense spared and the hospitality was amazing, going above and beyond to meet our needs. A place i would recommend and will definitely be returning.

Corbridge was absolutely full - nowhere to park, so couldn't stop where we wanted to. Drove just outside and found this place. Very friendly staff, simple meal of scampi and chips - frankly the best cooked scampi I've ever had in a pub. The guy understands that cooking isn't actually about cooking things for so long you kill all the bacteria (and taste). Well cooked and succulent. Really bravo!

We stayed overnight whilst cycling route N72, Hadrian's cycleway. Location was quiet, just out of main town, with lovely beer garden and secure bike storage. Clean comfy rooms, good pub food and very friendly staff. All good.
