I cannot recommend The Hunters Rest Inn more highly. Besides from the beautiful location and pub garden, amazing beer and fantastic food, it was the staff that really made it! Every member of the team were attentive, warm and made me and my girlfriend feel super welcome. Colin even took the time out of his day to drop us off as at a nearby wedding. Life saver. What lovely people and what a fantastic place to stay. We will be back!

Had the most enjoyable stay as a stopover on the way to Cornwall. Will definitely stay there again. Very friendly co-owners and staff who were attentive even though very busy. A very large Inn that has been extended but in keeping with the original building. Lots of nooks and crannies. Locals were very friendly . Food was good as was the breakfast. Enjoyed the real ales from a well stocked bar. A quirky box of reading spectacles was on the bar for customers to borrow to read the menus. Also had a large beer garden. Our room was cosy and had a verandah overlooking the countryside. A pair of binoculars on the window sill was a nice touch. Room was cleaned the second day we were there and refreshments replenished to our surprise. Very dog friendly with dog treats and a water station. Good location and close to Bath.

Great place in the countryside! Lovely welcoming staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast well cooked and great selection. The menu for evening dinner was extensive and reasonably priced. Well cooked and presented. Will stay again in the future! Thanks to Sally and staff

I live locally and love this pub so go there all the time. It’s cosy and atmospheric in the winter and has a big garden with a small play area for the kids making it great for summer too. The food is always good and, since they started having pale ale on tap, so is the drink.

If you plan to have a meal here. DON'T ! Recently taken over by the cook and a staff member. Prices increased by a third and the 3 meals we had were diabolically bad. Lasagne without chips and now comes with salad. This will set you back £17.95. and it was horrible ! A very small ramekin , dried up with hard pasta around the edges . It was microwaved to an inch of its life ! Starters are tiny with substandard ingredients and prices START at £9.25 ! We put more care into preparing our parrots food than this "chef" put into the 3 meals we ordered. Such a shame. The pub itself is lovely and it is in a great location. Just to add ....the frozen chips were hard in the middle. Could it have gotten any worse ! 🤦
