Sunday lunch. The Roast beef was good but the shoulder of lamb was a disappointment, overcooked, fatty and tasteless. The description of the veg on the menu was very fancy with words like: Smoked salt, Maple ( syrup) and Rosemary but it was just very sweet and spoilt the flavour of the veg itself. The table was an old oak thing with massive legs either side so we couldn’t get the chair under the table and my wife sat with her legs either side of this turned leg. Very uncomfortable. Pudding menu looked good but they got the order wrong and sent crumble and custard instead of ice cream. With my choice they sent the wrong one all together and there was a wait till my lemon cheese cake eventually arrived. All very disappointing . So , if you decide to visit try to get a decent table and choose the beef rather than lamb. There were other choices like Beefburger but on a Sunday? However the venue seemed very popular especially with older people who were sat in big groups. They also offer 15% discount with a Blue light card ( NHS) so the price was reasonable. But competition is fierce. Think they need to up their game .

Lovely pub with great food and a huge beer garden. Katsu chickenwas lovely, but chicken was a little dry and breading could be crispier. No hot water in the men's bathroom

Held my dad's surprise 80th birthday here and got nothing but help from dawn and rufus, they organised the cake delivery and candles, they got the balloons, they helped us put up banners and provided us with a go to member of staff to look after us, this was a lovely young lady called Megan who was outstanding and went out of her way to help us. I was slightly embarrassed when I saw members of the party purchasing more chips and we ordered more fries and nuggets as these were the most popular and we had a lot of sandwiches left, I suggest 2 bowls of chips and more nuggets and less sandwiches would make this a 5 star review. However, we were quite happy to purchase the extra as everyone was having a nice time and it made my dad very very happy. I recommend this place for a gathering as its a nice room and mostly private and the staff were just amazing, a great team. Thank you Beehive team!

Staff very pleasant and accommodating with us and our dogs on a busy charity night they were hosting. Locals also moved tables for us to sit together. The food was very well presented and tasted superb. Highly recommend eating and drinking here. Didn’t realise at the time of paying but there is a 15% blue light card discount. Nice outdoor garden area as well.

Had our 65th Wedding Anniversary there. Everything was 110per cent. Fantastic hosts. Rufus and Dawn. All the staff welcoming and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. An evening to remember. Superb buffet.Thanks again. Ivor Jan.

Just been for the roast, was blooming beautiful! Even so we have booked for my son’s birthday next weekend too! Lovely staff, food was just delish and lovely atmosphere 💙

Myself & my wife dropped in for lunch on 15/7/25 for lunch during a visit to Bristol, Very glad we did, whilst I grew up in Bristol the beehive had always been there but had never visited, Greeted on arrival & shown to our Immaculately clean table we noticed the eclectic chairing, tasteful & upkept decorating & furnishings with the occasional hive like feature, very nice, subtle touches. We both ordered the reasonably priced beer battered cod & chips & I can honestly tell you it was the best pub meal I can remember, generous portions, perfect batter on both the cod and the onion rings & the chips cooked to perfection, the only issue we had was trying to finish the meal. The two members of staff who served us couldn't possibly have been more competent & pleasant, We visit Bristol reasonably often & look forward to visiting again, Don't just visit if you're local, go out of your way to visit here! We had an exceptional experience & cannot recommend the Beehive enough, Thank you & see you again soon👍

Busy, fun pub with great service and a wide menu of delicious food. Lots of outside areas. Specials menu. Kids having a blast in the garden on the last day of school but also quieter areas inside and out.
