Arrived lateish at 19:45 - very friendly, check in was fast, straight up to the room, which was huge, with a very modern immaculate bathroom, sofa, and a bath in the room..!! Anyway wanted something to eat so went straight back down and had an excellent pint of local pale ale, with the best fish and chips I have had in a very long while. Breakfast was just as good, really lovely sourdough toast and a fab selection - super-friendly staff and amazing value for money..!!

Great restaurant, warm service and amazing food. Booked for 2 at 8pm and had a fantastic dinner. The place is spotless and really welcoming. I had pie of the day and my other half had the chicken burger, both were exceptional; the portion sizes were perfect too. I can't recommend The Bower highly enough for a pleasant dinner date!

We went to the Bower Inn to celebrate the life of a very good friend who has passed away, the function room was gorgeous, there was a huge tv screen where pictures where shown on a reel, we relived lots of memories. The buffet was really excellent and staff were so polite and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend for an intimate gathering 🤩 Cannot comment on rooms as we are locals so went home after wake but I would say they’re going to be great just like the pub
