Was out house hunting and saw this pub, as it was lunch time why not pop in and have something to eat. Well when we went in it just felt right,a pub just how a pub should be . From the welcome we got to the service at our table and the food. Could have moved in here and stopped for good 👍 5+⭐ all day long. Thank you the Red Lion for making us so welcome 🤗🤗🤗

One of the nicest pubs around, lovely location, very friendly staff, well priced and ample car parking. I recently burst two tyres on my car driving on a local road, I managed to get it in the pub car park and the owners were very kind and let me keep it there overnight until I could get a mobile tyre person out. I can't thank them enough. (I'll be booking my next few Sunday dinners there!) 🍺🍺🍺

Came for a random stop for food. Brilliant food, would recommend if your in the area or within driving distance. Food was excellent, kids had hunters chicken & 1 had pizza, partner had gammon and I had steak and ale pie and all was absolutely fantastic.

I go here a reasonable amount. When I have to. It’s ok. Last time was the best it’s been. I can’t describe this place. It’s like. It looks great, the staff are fine the drinks are fine but somehow, in some indefinable way, the atmosphere is just off. But as I say, I can’t tell you how or why…

Room was disgracefully unclean, with cobwebs everywhere. I know it's the countryside but these weren't new. The bathroom floor was filthy and the towels, 1 bath 1 had and 1 none descript for 2 of us, we're wafer thin and like sandpaper. The bed headboard onto attached to anything, so rattled with the smallest movement. The pillows were like sandbags and the TV was the size of a postage stamp with only free view working. I gave it 2 stars because the bedsheets were nice and clean and sempt to have quality. The bed was comfy. The evening meal was delicious.

Only had food but very disappointed. Asked for a plain burger but came with all salad. Opted for the tomato soup with roll, they served me a watery tasteless soup with a shop bought burger bun. The soup tasted like a cuppa soup and has the same consistency. Finally no dogs allowed inside and there must have been a wasp nest nearby as there were swarms of them, kept landing on the food and I got stung next to my watch strap on my right wrist. Do not recommend this PH
