The Oak

This was my first visit to The Oak Pub, it's really nice looking from the outside and really nice inside. The bar is superb, nicely lit up, many furnished tables and chairs arranged throughout, many big TV 's that are easily seen throughout, nice choice of music. There is also a nice grassed area out front and benches to sit outside, also a nice seating area to the side of the pub. The front door entrance is ramped, wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly, there is a pool table and darts area... It's so clean. It is child friendly. The lady managing the pub is professional, efficient and friendly, friendly people. However, food is not available. Such a nice experience. Sincerely, Arnold.

Very friendly and pleasant local. Good range of drinks and John Smiths on draught and also do bottled ale. Many years ago the pub had a bad reputation but 13 years later it is a great family area. Love the board games and as it's in walking distance we shall be coming more often to make up for the 10 plus years we didn't. Lovely done out outside seating area with cosy and covered bench seats. Decor all brand new and clean ! Update : not been here for a while since it's been taken over but pleasant on a Sunday afternoon. New governor seems nice enough and a small friendly crowd of locals . Do not do food but it's a good basic simple pub which does it's job. Good range of drinks, could do with a real ale but John Smith's is a good alternative . Shame the board games are no more.Dkg friendly so that's a bonus.

The owner of the pub is stunner! Caring, helpful man. +100 recommended. Come for delicious food and good for value drink prices.

New management, wonderful staff, really changing this establishment around. Clean, fun, great atmosphere, children welcome with family's, highly recommended to go along, Halloween event coming up cannot wait fie the fun with the kiddies and adult evening.. Also available for private high at extremely good price for functions. Good luck with the new adventure.

Very friendly and lovely pub. I initially come here for the food as the chef serves a lovely afro carribian menu . Staff are lovely

Very friendly pub with lovely staff. Good music and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Got to say the food is amazing. I have had their Sunday Roasts and the casserole, both dishes were homemade and very tasty. I will definitely be going back.
