Had a Sunday roast with friends. The table was delightful, and the food hot and delicious. They went out of the way to make sure our friends dietary requirements were met, without changing food for the rest of us. The roast potatoes ate the best I've ever had. The pork was tender and tasty. The dessert, hard to choose from the range. I opted for bonoffie pie with cream. Absolutely delicious. The price is what you would expect for a meal of that quality, and the service was second to none. A very memorable time with dear friends.

Whenever we visit The Stags Head Inn, which is a beautifully kept thatched pub, the food is exquisite, the staff are friendly, the prices are just right and the service is very quick and superb. Our favourite place to visit in North Devon. Highly recommended!

I called the Stags Head to see if they had availability for Sunday roast and although they were busy they fitted us in. The roast we had was the best roast we have ever had. Lovely meat, roast potato’s, swede, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, carrots, pigs in blankets, stuffing. I didn’t want it to end. We then had home made puddings of chocolate brownie and bannoffie pie which were delicious. I will definitely be coming back.

I went here with two friends for dinner without a booking. We were immediately shown to a table with a smile to a table right at the front window. The thatched building is absolutely stunning, obviously a medieval Devon Longhouse.||Both young girls serving are truly incredible. Lots of people arrived at once, and Kadi was charming and unflappable. Her customer service is impeccable for someone so young.||We had the special which was roast turkey dinner and it was gorgeous, and a very reasonably priced.||I fully recommend this beautiful country pub for it’s ambience, it’s food and the wait staff’s brilliant customer service. (The two girls deserve a raise! They’re awesome!!)
