Had an amazing evening at The Pointer last night. We were worried we might be the only people there but it was packed with a lovely atmosphere, staff eating with their families, dogs in Christmas jumpers, it was perfect. We had the festive menu, if you haven't been yet order the pate, Ox cheek and festive trifle. The Hugo Spritzs were lovely and went down very easily. Many thanks for a wonderful festive evening.

A fantastic hidden gem of a local pub! For starters, we had the rarebit and crispy squid — both generous and absolutely delicious. There was a nice, relaxed pace between courses, and for mains we enjoyed the prawn & chorizo spaghetti and the fish cakes — both were faultless. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, even when things got busy. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

Popped in for lunch as we were passing through and boy are we glad we did. The service and food were fantastic and ended up being the highlight of our day. There was a great selection of pub favourites with a few Gastro options on the menu for good measure; everything tasted fresh and prepared there and then. Have stuck a pin in it so we remember to pop back whenever we are next passing!

We had 3 rooms on the night before a wedding.|All rooms were well furnished and comfortable. Brill is a lovely place and it was a nice walk around the village. There was free on the road parking.|Unfortunately all the rooms were too warm and being right on the road it wasn’t possible due to security and noise to open the windows at the front of the downstairs room. We also had to immediately drop the blind for privacy. As a result we didn’t get a great nights sleep.|Housekeeping in the bathrooms could have been better around the shower.|We had breakfast and evening meals. We all enjoyed our food and the service and drinks were good.

Just had an incredible meal that ticked all the boxes! The 10oz Sirloin Steak was perfect, and the Spaghetti Giardino had amazing taste and presentation. The team were super friendly, recommending dishes and checking in on us without being intrusive. Can't wait to come back for more of this great value for money experience! Highly recommend it!

This was an amazing pub/restaurant /hotel that definitely gets 5 stars from me. The hotel rooms above the pub are old world oak beams and quirky with a cozy vibe. The food in the restaurant was top notch. I had the boneless spicy chicken and the pictures say more than I ever could. Very tasty and fantastic quality. The green salad and cherry tomatoes were awesome (I don't usually finish a side salad!!)

Lovely big room with a huge bathroom- the bath and shower were both fabulous!|The bed was incredibly comfortable.|Dog friendly. Extremely clean and well presented.|The cleaning lady was friendly.|The staff in the pub are fabulous- so very friendly and accommodating- 10/10 for them!|The village is quaint with lots of little local walks through fields.|The only reason not 5 star is pillows were so incredibly soft and the room was uncomfortably warm. There was a fan which we had on continuously but it did not make that much difference.

Brilliant staff and room. We stayed for two nights for a wedding nearby and it had everything we needed. Food was brilliant and there was a lovely garden area to enjoy the sunshine. A lovely village/area generally - would definitely recommend.
