Sunday lunch treat, courtesy of granddaughter and partner 11th Jan 2026. Welcoming atmosphere on entry. Greeted by Connor, (proprietor) and shown to table. Drinks and food orders taken and served by lovely staff, within 30 mins. First class service, first class food, and so very busy throughout our time there. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again. If there were any negatives, I looked, but I didn’t find/see.

A slightly different experience, but immensely positive. Our group recently gave the Pheasant a call about helping out with a cycling event that was taking place in the neighbourhood. At no real gain to the pub, the staff (from owner, manager and floor) were incredibly accommodating and professional, providing water, bin bags and allowing us to use their tables to have ride snacks. Our group did not pay for anything, yet were treated with genuine care and kindness from the staff. Great fireplace in the front, and very popular with locals likely for good reason.

Had a delicious lunch in the pub restaurant today, fish and chips cooked to perfection. All staff very friendly and welcoming. The owner and chef Steve took time out of his busy kitchen to speak to us. Shame his Four in a Bed winner plaque has gone missing.
